Custom Gown FAQ

Why do you charge a deposit? Your gown is made specifically for you, which means materials are purchased and production is scheduled the moment your order is confirmed. The 50% deposit covers those costs. The remaining balance is collected before your gown ships.

When is the remaining balance charged? Approximately 1–2 weeks before your gown is ready to ship, we will send a balance-due notice. Payment is required within 7 days to release your order for shipment.

Can I cancel after ordering? Yes — within 48 hours of purchase, for a full refund. After that window, production is underway and cancellations cannot be accepted.

What if my gown doesn't fit? Made-to-measure gowns are cut to the measurements you submit. Minor alterations after delivery are normal with custom bridal. We provide a $150 alteration allowance toward local tailoring — just send us your receipt.

If there is a manufacturing defect or a significant deviation from your submitted measurements, contact us within 5 business days of delivery with photos and we will make it right.

How will I know my order is progressing? You will receive three milestone updates by email: fabric cut confirmation, a mid-production check-in, and a pre-shipment photo of your finished gown. If you have questions between updates, email care@vicumo.com.

Why does production take 75–90 days? Your gown is not pulled from a warehouse. It is cut, constructed, and finished after you order. That process — done properly — takes time. Rush production (45–60 days) is available on select styles; contact us before ordering to confirm.

What carrier do you use? All gowns ship via tracked, signature-required carrier. You will receive a tracking number when your order dispatches.

Do you ship internationally? Currently, Vicumo ships within the United States only.

What if my gown arrives damaged? Photograph the packaging and the gown immediately and contact care@vicumo.com within 48 hours. We will file a carrier claim and work toward a resolution.
